DECATUR, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's golf team competed at the Butts and Dechert Classic hosted by Millikin on Friday and Saturday.

Knox finished in a tie for fourth after overtaking Illinois College in round two.

Pranav Nandakumar led the Prairie Fire with consistent play. He shot 75 in each round to finish at 150 overall. Eddie Brees finished one stroke behind at 151. Hunter Webb (155), Gabe Newman (158), Jake Schabes (159), Nathaniel Zug (163), Colbin Clark (167), and Saransh Raina (168) all competed for Knox as well.

"I felt like we had a good showing in a very tough field," said head coach Brady Kreiter. "We had 3 or 4 guys who were very consistent and a few breaks here and there and we place third behind a stellar Illinois Wesleyan squad."
