GRINNELL, Iowa — The Midwest Conference office announced its Performers of the Week in cross country this afternoon, and Knox College senior Lance Miller came away as the recipient of the men's award for the second time this fall and fifth time in his career.
Running at the Bradley Intercollegiate Championships on Friday, Sept. 19, Miller completed the 8K race in a time of 25:24.9, good for 16th place. But 11 of the runners ahead of him were from outside Division III, giving the native of Mascoutah, Illinois, the fifth-fastest time among Division III competitors at the event. His time was also the second fastest of his career, trailing only his performance at the Midwest Conference Championships last fall.
Knox has the week off from competition, then will return to the trails on Saturday, Oct. 4 for the Dan Huston Invite hosted by Wartburg College.
