Saw time in the field and on the mound … singled as a pinch hitter against Beloit for his first collegiate hit, then came around to score … got his first start the next day in right field, and started another game against Eureka … in his debut on the mound, all four outs were strikeouts against Elmhurst … also tossed a shutout inning of relief versus Illinois College.
