Academic All-Midwest Conference Spring Team … third on the team in the three slash categories (.339/.432/.438) ... also third with 11 multi-hit games … singled against Maine-Presque Isle for his first collegiate hit in the 8-2 win … went 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and stolen base in the second game versus St. Lawrence … singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in a run in the second game of the doubleheader against Beloit … hit safely in 11 of 12 games while hitting a robust .455 (25-for-55), banging out at least two hits in seven of those contests … began the hot streak by going 3-for-4 with three RBIs in a 4-3 win over Monmouth … destroyed Grinnell pitching with 10 hits in 13 at-bats (.769) with a double, triple, five runs and five RBIs in the series … boasted a season-high five hits with three more RBIs in the finale against the Pioneers … doubled three times and scored three times in a 6-5, 10-inning triumph over the University of Chicago … reached base safely in each of his last 14 games … ripped a three-run double in an 11-5 win over Eureka … drew nine walks in the last seven games.
