Erin Rutledge was named the Knox head softball coach in August of 2014. She served the prior two seasons as an assistant softball coach and pitching coach at Louisburg College, a Division I junior college program in North Carolina.
Rutledge is very familiar with the Midwest Conference. She was a four-year pitcher and two-year captain at Illinois College. An All-Midwest Conference selection for the Lady Blues, Rutledge was named the MWC South Division Pitcher of the Year in 2012. She was also an Academic All-Midwest Conference honoree.
“After playing in the Midwest Conference for four years, I feel like I have a connection with Knox and the program,” she said.
A native of Argenta, Illinois, Rutledge earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois College in 2012.
