Knox College Prairie Fire

Ruby Davis joined the Prairie Fire softball staff in late January of 2025 after spending the previous fall as the graduate assistant coach at Delta State University in Mississippi.

As Delta State’s graduate assistant, Davis managed team practices in the fall, helped with game-day operations, attended recruiting events, coordinated lodging for the spring season and managed the team’s social media accounts.

A 2024 graduate of Southwest Baptist University in Missouri with a degree in exercise science, Davis was a three-year letter winner for the Bearcats, playing catcher, the corner infield positions and right field as well. The team improved by 11 wins during her three years on the squad.

Davis is currently pursuing her master’s degree in strength and conditioning from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri.
