Knox College Prairie Fire

A Chicago native, Shari Willingham had her best performance in the women’s high jump at the Meet of Champions, hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island on Thursday and Friday. She began at 1.34 meters (4 feet 4.75 inches) and cleared that on her first try. After advancing past 1.39 meters on her second try, she topped 1.44 meters on her first attempt. Willingham then cleared 1.49 meters (4 feet 10.5 inches) on her second attempt, a new personal best that also etched her name into Knox’s top-10 performers list, which left her in ninth at the meet. She also ran a leg of the 4x100 meter relay team, which finished 13th.
