The women’s soccer team earned a scoreless draw with third-place Lawrence on Saturday, thanks in large part to the efforts of Darby Wallig in goal. The native of Wendell, North Carolina, stonewalled six Viking shots over the course of the contest to earn her fifth shutout (second in the league) of the season after missing the previous two matches. Her first two saves came in the first half, and then she added four more when the Vikings turned up the pressure in the second half. This is the second time Wallig has earned this honor this fall and third time in her career.
