Knox College Prairie Fire

Bernett has been a major contributor to the Prairie Fire's perfect 5-0 record in dual meets so far this season. 

Bernett led Knox with three first place finishes in a 147-40 victory at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago on December 14.

"Clarice is part of a talented group of women's swimmers who have joined the team this year.  It's been fun to watch them feed off one-another in practice, and then to see their hard work pay off in meets," coach Jonathan Powers said.  "To win the 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 IM, and finish second to Madeline Bruce in the 50 free, shows Clarice's versatility."

The award is the second for the Knox swimming program in the past two days.  Sophomore Chris Walsh was named the Midwest Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week on December 17.
