Knox College Prairie Fire

First-year Madeline Bruce won her second award in two days after placing first in three events at a meet last weekend.

She helped the Knox women's swim team earn a split against Eureka College and Monmouth College on January 18 at Monmouth.  The Prairie Fire have a 7-1 record in head-to-head competition against other teams.

Bruce was victorious in the 100 yard freestyle, 100 yard butterfly, and 100 yard backstroke races in the three-team meet.  She earned the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week award one day after being named the Midwest Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.

Bruce has won 13 individual events this season and has the top time among all women's swimmers in the Midwest Conference in the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.99).
