Galesburg, IL - An important Midwest Conference matchup at Blodgett Field between Knox College and Monmouth College will have to wait a few days.

The doubleheader, scheduled for Saturday, April 13, was postponed because of rainy weather that’s moved into the Galesburg area and is expected to stay through the weekend.

The Prairie Fire (7-12, 1-2 MWC South) and the Fighting Scots (8-14, 2-2 MWC South) will try again on Tuesday, April 17.  The first game is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.

Knox is coming off a dramatic 6-3, come-from-behind non-conference win on Thursday at Robert Morris University – Springfield.  Monmouth dropped its last game 6-2 at Coe College on April 9, the Scots fourth loss in the last five games.

The Prairie Fire and the Fighting Scots will become very familiar with each other.  The teams play another doubleheader in four days, on April 21, at Monmouth.
