GRINNELL, Iowa — The Midwest Conference announced its 2025-26 Academic All-Conference Team, recognizing 1,708 student-athletes for success in academics and athletics over the past academic year.
To earn Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must achieve a minimum 3.33 grade-point average for the academic year, earn a varsity letter in one of the league's 18 sponsored sports, and compete on a team that completed at least 50 percent of its scheduled contests. Honorees are named each year after spring term grades are posted.
This year's group includes 895 student-athletes representing men's sports and 813 representing women's sports. A total of 343 student-athletes were recognized as multi-sport participants, including 178 in women's sports and 165 in men's sports. Among them were 79 two-sport participants in men's sports, 90 in women's sports, 85 in three men's sports, and 88 in three women's sports. There was also one four-sport participant in men's sports.
Grinnell College led all institutions with 407 Academic All-Conference selections. Knox College had 109 student-athletes honored.
By season, fall sports led the way with 861 honorees, with football contributing the highest total at 277. Winter sports had a slight edge over spring sports, 700 to 665. Women's indoor track and field led all winter sports with 171 honorees, while women's outdoor track and field topped the spring sports with 169.
