Galesburg, IL - The Prairie Fire swept a doubleheader Thursday against Robert Morris University of Springfield on Senior Day.

GAME #1
Knox defeated Robert Morris 2-0.  Sophomore Amber Eisha (South Wilmington, IL, Gardner-South Wilmington) threw a shutout in her second straight start, holding the Eagles to five hits while striking out eight.  Eisha (5-9) has three shutouts this season and four in her brief career.  First-year infielder Rhiannon Neuville-Norton (Eugene, OR, South Eugene) had a pair of doubles and was 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI for the Prairie Fire.  Junior Avecena Hollingsworth (Tigard, OR, Tigard) drove in the Fire's first run of the game with a double in the first inning.  Knox, which had six hits, added a run in the second inning on a single by Neuville-Norton, more than enough offensive support for Eisha.

GAME #2
Neuville-Norton continued her hot hitting with a 4-for-4 performance at the plate and scored four runs as the Prairie Fire completed the sweep of the Eagles with an 8-3 win.  RMU scored three runs in the first inning to take the early lead.  Knox responded with a run in the home half of the first then followed with three in the second to go up 4-3 and make a winner out of sophomore pitcherAnna Lemen  (Cincinnati, OH, Cincinnati Country Day).  Lemen improved her record to 3-8.  The hosts added on a run in the fourth and three scores in the sixth inning while banging out 14 hits.  Sophomore Jordan Shaffer (Atlanta, IL, Olympia) was 2-for-3 with three RBI and Hollingsworth contributed three hits and three runs batted in for Knox.  Seniors Amanda Wollrab (Knoxville, IL, Knoxville) and Beth McRill (Streamwood, IL, Streamwood) were recognized with their families before the games, their last at the Knox Softball Field.

Knox and Robert Morris split a doubleheader on April 7 in Rochester, Illinois.  The Eagles won the first game 3-1.  The Prairie Fire rebounded with a 17-6 victory in game two.
