Baseball at RMU Postponed

Next stop for Prairie Fire: Florida

Galesburg, IL – The Prairie Fire will have to wait a little longer before getting a shot at a second straight win to begin the 2013 season.

Knox, coming off a 2-1 road victory against MacMurray College on March 7, was scheduled to play at Robert Morris University-Springfield on March 11.  The game, however, has been postponed and a make-up date is pending.

Next up for the Fire is a trip to Fort Myers, Florida to play in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic between March 19 and 24. 

The first opponent for Knox is Johns Hopkins University on March 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET  Coach Jami Isaacson’s squad will also meet Nichols College (March 20), Southern Vermont College (March 21), Midwest Conference foe Lawrence University (March 21), University of Wisconsin-Stout (March 22), and Otterbein University (March 23 and March 24) in Fort Myers.

The Prairie Fire softball team is playing in the Cusic Classic as well between March 18 and 23.  (Cusic Classic softball schedule)

In addition, a reception for Knox alumni and parents will be held at Red Bone's Bar & Grill in Fort Myers on March 23 at 5:00 p.m. ET  Visit with athletic director Chad Eisele '93, baseball coach Jami Isaacson '92, softball coach Ashley Sims, and head athletic trainer Scott Sunderland and find out what's happening on campus during the event.
