Galesburg, IL – The Prairie Fire softball team will wait until this weekend to play again at home.

The doubleheader between Knox and Iowa Wesleyan on April 18 was postponed because of heavy rain that moved across the area.  The teams were going to try to play on Friday (April 19), but the decision was made to attempt to make up the games at a later date.

The Prairie Fire last played on April 14 against Ripon College and St. Norbert College at the 2013 Midwest Conference Classic in East Peoria.  Knox was slated to play its next eight games at home, including the two against Iowa Wesleyan.

Wesleyan (15-12) has already lost a game to the rain this week.  The Tigers were looking to build on a four-game winning streak April 17 against Hannibal-LaGrange University at home.  That contest was canceled because of rain.

Knox (4-19, 3-8 MWC South) is scheduled to play next on April 21 at home against Grinnell College.  The first game of the Midwest Conference South Division doubleheader against the Pioneers (0-19, 0-5 MWC South) begins at 1:00 p.m.
