APPLETEON, Wisconsin – The Prairie Fire made a goal scored early on hold up in a 1-0 Midwest Conference victory at Lawrence University on Sunday.

Nathaniel Logie (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Queens Royal College) fired a shot from junior
Abdulsalam Oganla (Lagos, Nigeria, The International Academy) past Lawrence keeper Joe Krivit just 23 seconds into the contest. Logie leads the Midwest Conference or shares the lead in seven offensive categories, including goals scored.
Logie's ninth goal of the season turned out to be the game-winner as the Knox defense and senior goalie
Sean Dockrell (Dublin, Ireland, San Bernadino CC) turned away the Vikings' attack. The Prairie Fire recorded their fifth shutout of the year, which ranks second in the MWC.
Lawrence (1-8-2, 1-3-1 MWC), meanwhile, lost 1-0 in back-to-back games over the weekend against Illinois College and Knox.
The Prairie Fire (9-2, 4-0 MWC) outshot the Vikings 9-7 in the match. Seven of the nine shots were on target as Krivit finished with six saves. Lawrence took three shots on goal and Dockrell saved all of them.
Knox puts its eight game winning streak on the line at Cornell College next Saturday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m. The Rams (2-9-1, 0-4 MWC) have lost seven straight going into the match against the Prairie Fire.
