GALESBURG, Illinois – A goal with less than ten minutes in regulation was the difference as the Prairie Fire picked up a hard-earned win against Marian University on Saturday at Jorge Prats Field.

Knox broke a scoreless tie when junior Abdulsalam Oganla (Lagos, Nigeria, The International Academy) tapped in a pass from first-year Sam Tatum (Atlanta, GA, Paideia School) at the 82:48 mark for a 1-0 lead.

The defense and senior goalie Sean Dockrell (Dublin, Ireland, San Bernadino CC) held the Sabres in check the rest of the way, and the Prairie Fire earned a second straight shutout victory.

Knox (3-2) outshot Marian (2-3) 13-9 overall and 5-2 on goal.  Dockrell made two saves in goal for the hosts.

The Prairie Fire host Concordia University (WI) on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.  The Falcons (2-4) will be playing Midwest Conference teams on back-to-back days after winning at Monmouth College 2-0 on Saturday.
