LAKE FOREST, Illinois—The Prairie Fire were handed their first loss of the season at Lake Forest College on Saturday night.
 
Knox (4-1, 1-1 MWC) fell 83-77 to the Foresters after being up 12 points at half time. The Fire held the lead from 9:18 left in the first quarter until 3:57 remaining in the third quarter. From then on the game went back and forth until 7:28 left in the game when Lake Forest took the lead for good.
 
Jamie Blue (Urbana, IL, University) led Knox in scoring and rebounds with 17 points and six boards. Naja Woods (Minneapolis, MN, Southwest) added 13 points, while Elena Angueira-Bosch (Isabela, Puerto Rico, Spires Academy) added 10 points and six rebounds. Saundra Gavazzi (Gilbert, AZ, Chandler) had six points and five assists for the Fire.

The Prairie Fire will look to go back to their winning ways when they play at Illinois College on December 8.
