BELOIT, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire men's soccer team shut out Beloit 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Knox (7-3-0, 2-0-0 MWC) and the Buccaneers remained scoreless until late in the first half when Charlie Raymond (Portland, OR, Central Catholic) broke through for first score. He was assisted by Erick Karkut (Mount Prospect, IL, Prospect). The Prairie Fire waited until late in the second half to pick up their final goals. Karkut came through on a penalty kick at the 86:10 mark and Raymond added his second goal of the game with 17 seconds remaining in the game.

"Tim and Duncan have put together a stellar team who can strike the best teams in the MWC," said head coach Tyler Sheikh. "Our fellas were up for a tough contest and our ability to control the game on the floor was the only separation. We were fortunate to score our goals, but pleased we've gotten new fellas scoring for us."

Knox returns to action on October 1 when they host conference rival Monmouth.
