GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire women's soccer team improved to 3-0 with a win over Wisconsin Lutheran on Labor Day.
Knox scored six goals in the first half to put the game away early.
Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian) got the scoring started just over two minutes into the game. She added a second score, her fourth of the year, later in the first half and
Alex Robertson (San Clemente, CA, San Clemente) picked up her first two goals of the year.
Bryssa Montez (Oceanside, CA, Mission Vista),
Corina Leyva (Tucson, AZ, Tucson Magnet), and
Jessica Petersen (Brooklyn Park, MN, Champlin Park) each added a goal.
Goalkeepers
Kathryn Coseglia (Willowbrook, IL, Central) and
Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) combined to shut out the Warriors with a save apiece.
Knox travels to Blackburn to take on the Beavers on September 7.
