GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire women's basketball team lost in overtime 56-53 on Saturday afternoon.

Knox (6-5, 3-3 MWC) led by six at halftime and remained in the lead through much of the third quarter, but the Rams used an 11-1 run to take the lead. The Prairie Fire battled back to tie the game 38-38 early in the fourth quarter and the scoring went back and forth for the rest of the quarter. Trailing by two with just seconds on the clock Kyra Huffman (Sacramento, CA, St. Francis) hit a jumper to send the game into overtime all knotted up at 46-46. Cornell took the lead early in overtime and Knox failed to hit the equalizer at the buzzer.
