Men's Soccer to Host MWC Tournament

DE PERE, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with St. Norbert on Saturday.

Knox (13-2-4, 8-0-1 MWC) will share the regular season championship with the Green Knights, but will host the conference tournament by tiebreaker rules. The Midwest Conference Tournament will begin on Friday at 11:00 a.m. and conclude with the championship on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

The Prairie Fire and St. Norbert shot an even 12 goals each in what was truly an even match.

"I am very happy for our guys. They went to Norbert and a got a deserved result. The match was even on shots in the end, but neither side really got going with their attack," said head coach Tyler Sheikh. "We leaned on what is statistically the best defense in the history of the Midwest Conference. After playing on the road at the #2 and #3 seeds this past week, and getting results, we deserve to host the tournament and call ourselves champions."

Justin Dunn finished with seven saves to keep the opponent off the board for the 12th time this season.
