GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team fell in their home opener to Westminster.
Knox (0-2) led by six halfway through the second half, but the Blue Jays took the lead at the 6:17 mark and did not relinquish it again. The Prairie Fire had a five-point lead with 1:53 in the first half, but Westminster reeled off eight straight points to take a 32-29 lead into halftime.
Jonathan Damota led Knox with 13 points. Blake Godbold, Deryk Ruple, and Jacob Kampf each added 12 of their own. Godbold grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists. Marko Protic hauled in a game-high 14 rebounds.
Knox will look for their first win of the season as they host Eureka on November 26.
