GALESBURG, IL- The Prairie Fire women's basketball team cruised to a 19-point victory over Robert Morris Springfield after Morgan Potter asserted her dominance over the Eagle defense. Knox improved to 7-2 on the season after leading for the entirety of the game. The Prairie Fire stormed out to a 10-2 lead early in the first quarter, but Robert Morris finished the first quarter on a 10-6 run. Knox outscored the Eagles 18-9 in the second quarter to go into the half up 34-21. The Prairie Fire extended their lead in the third quarter to cruise to victory.
Potter finished with 21 points, 13 of which came in the second half, and 15 rebounds. She added four blocks just for fun. Karlie Thorn put up 12 points and grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists. Jarrelyn McCall also scored 12 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Knox has been on a roll recently beating Blackburn on Monday by 23 points.
Knox will look to keep rolling when they travel to Carthage College on December 16.
