CHICAGO, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team fell to IIT 76-55 on Friday night.

Knox (2-9) and the Scarlet Hawks played a back-and-forth first half with a 25-all tie with 3:47 left in the stanza. IIT took a 32-28 lead by halftime and quickly expanded their lead in the second half. The Scarlet Hawks took a double-digit lead with 15:02 left in the game and never looked back.

DJ Lewis led the Prairie Fire with 10 points, including two treys. Deryk Ruple added three scores from beyond the arc to tally nine points. Blake Godbold poured in six points and grabbed nine boards.

Knox returns to action on January 2 when they host Lawrence to pick up their conference slate.
