EUREKA, Illinois - The Prairie Fire baseball team earned a season sweep of Eureka with a 14-3 victory on Wednesday.

Knox (8-7) scored four runs in the first inning after tallying five straight hits to lead off the game. The Red Devils rallied back in the bottom half with two runs of their own, but the Fire tacked on 10 more runs in the final three innings to earn the win.

Drake Sykes (Galesburg, IL, Galesburg) picked up three hits in five at bats, tallying a home-run and three RBI on the day.
Matt Mueller (Silex, MO, Silex) and
Tristan Hannah (Chicago, IL, Lindblom) each added 2-for-4 efforts at the plate. Hannah and
Dalton James (Homer, IL, Heritage) each had two RBI.
Kam Wells (Champaign, IL, Champaign Central) clubbed a three-run homer, the first of his career. James also launched a big fly and Hannah tattooed two doubles in the right center gap.

Andrew Ponce (Bloomington, IL, University) earned the first win of his career with two scoreless innings in relief.

Knox returns to action on April 13 when they host Grinnell for a conference doubleheader.
