MAUSTON, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire baseball squad split a twinbill at the MWC crossover on Saturday afternoon.
 
Knox (11-12, 4-6 MWC) fell to St. Norbert 8-3 in the early game before earning a 6-3 win over Lawrence in game two.
 
Paul Sanders (Rock Island, IL, Rock Island) led the Prairie Fire with four hits on the day.  
Drake Sykes (Galesburg, IL, Galesburg) added three hits and 
Ryan Weitendorf (New Lenox, IL, Lincoln-Way East) drove in a team-high three runs.  Weitendorf belted a home-run while Sykes crushed a double. Sanders stole four bases.
 
Ken Bartelt (Buffalo Grove, IL, Buffalo Grove) held the St. Norbert bats at bay into the fourth inning in game one and came away with a no decision. 
Logan Thake (Amboy, IL, Amboy) scattered seven hits in game two to grab the win in seven innings of work. 
Jack Barreca (Grayslake, IL, Grayslake North) earned the save.
 
Knox will play two more games in the crossover on April 23 before returning home.
