DECORAH, Iowa—The Prairie Fire women's soccer team dropped their second straight game to begin the season when they lost at Luther on Saturday afternoon.
Knox (0-2) trailed the Norse 1-0 at halftime, but tied the game when
Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian) scored the first Prairie Fire goal of the young season.
Bryssa Montez (Oceanside, CA, Mission Vista) sent a great cross to pick up the assist. Luther responded with another goal of their own and held on for the victory.
Knox got off more shots than the Norse, but again had fortunes favor the opposition.
The Prairie Fire will travel to Wisconsin-Platteville on September 6 in search of their first win of the season.
