GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team outscored Lake Forest in the second half, but a slow start in the first half spelled their defeat.
Knox (3-12, 1-7 MWC) fell behind 23-0 in the first half and by halftime trailed the Foresters 50-20. The Prairie Fire could not gain much ground in the second half and ultimately lost 80-51.
Blake Godbold led the Prairie Fire offense with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting. He added five boards as well. Jeremiah Horton poured in eight points off the bench on a 3-for-3 performance from the field.
Knox will look to rebound as they travel to Illinois College on January 17.
