LAKE FOREST, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team dropped a Midwest Conference contest 76-60 to Lake Forest on Saturday.
Knox (4-15, 2-10 MWC) led 37-34 at halftime, but the Foresters outscored the Prairie Fire 42-23 in the second half to earn the victory. Lake Forest took the lead early in the second half using a 20-5 run. The Foresters continued their run of second half dominance by leading by double digits the last 10 minutes of the game.
DJ Lewis led the Prairie Fire with 15 points, buoyed by a 3-for-6 performance from beyond the arc. Jonathan Damota added 14 points and five rebounds. Blake Godbold poured in 11 points and grabbed five boards.
Knox returns home on January 30 to battle Illinois College.
