BLOOMINGTON, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's soccer team dropped a non-conference game 1-0 at Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
Knox (0-2-1) played to a scoreless tie in the first half, which was interrupted by a 30-minute lightning delay. The Titans broke through with a goal midway through the second half. Shortly after the goal, and just a few ticks past the time to make the game official, a second lightning delay ended the game early.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot the Prairie Fire 8-5 on the night, including a 3-1 edge in shots on goal. Justin Dunn grabbed two saves in the game.
Knox will look for their first win of the season in their home opener against Westminster on September 7.
