JACKSONVILLE, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team fell to Illinois College 96-60 on Thursday evening.
After some back and forth early, the Blueboys began to pull ahead about seven minutes into the game. IC took a double-digit lead midway through the first half and led 50-23 by halftime.
The Prairie Fire hung around in the early portion of the second half, but the Blueboys got hot once again and expanded their lead.
Deryk Ruple led Knox with 14 points, hitting a pair of treys. Elijah Crump added 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Justin Windt scored eight points and pulled down a team-high seven boards.
The Prairie Fire will host Cornell on February 2 as part of Basketball Homecoming.
