CHICAGO, Illinois—The Prairie Fire football team heads to the University of Chicago on October 12 at 2:00 p.m. for the first Midwest Conference matchup of the season.
Â
Knox will attempt to #PackTheirHousePurple in the first game against the Maroons since 1985. The Prairie Fire are 4-8 all-time against Chicago, but have won four of the last six meetings.
Â
The Maroons are coming off a 48-0 victory over Beloit on Saturday, while Knox fell to Lake Forest 28-3.
Â
Associate Athletic Director Scott Sunderland, K Club Coordinator Jillian Brackett, Head Strength Coach Andy Gibbons, and Marketing/SID Assistant Jose Montoya will all be in attendance.
Â
Chicago will be celebrating homecoming, so K Club decided not to hold a tailgate due to limited space. Chicago will be holding a block party along 56
th Street that cuts into the normal tailgating space. Individuals are welcome to tailgate. Be aware that no parking will be allowed from S. Maryland to Cottage Grove to allow egress for UC emergency medical center. As such, tailgaters will need to drop off their things before finding parking.

Â
There may be street parking along other streets, and there is a parking garage on Ellis Ave and 55
th St with the entrance on Ellis. This garage is directly across from the Ratner Athletic Center, and the football field is two blocks along 56
th. UC doesn't manage the garage, so parking will probably cost $20-$25.
