GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire football team defeated Beloit 27-11 in their final game of the season to send the senior class out with a win on senior day.

The Buccaneers struck first when they hit a field goal with 3:17 left in the first quarter. Knox countered with a touchdown when Grant Graham hit Hunter Lee over the middle. Lee fumbled, but Tyrese Reed scooped the ball up and ran 50 yards for the score.

The Prairie Fire scored again just before halftime to take a 14-3 lead into the intermission. Senior Brendan Powers made a great sliding catch in the end zone for the touchdown.

Knox tacked on another touchdown early in the third quarter when Ty Straw caught a pass and scurried around tacklers for a 44-yard score.

Midway through the final quarter, the Prairie Fire picked up their final touchdown of the day when senior offensive lineman Andrew Ledezma lined up at fullback and punched it in from three yards out.

Beloit found the end zone for the first time all day with 2:30 left in the game and Knox ran out the clock to preserve the victory.

Graham finished 8-for-13 passing for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Joey Auger finished with 53 rushing yards in his final game and senior Kobe Shutter grabbed four catches.

Senior Garrett Rau, along with first-year Amari Curtis, led Knox with six tackles. Rau also forced a fumble. Senior Luke Johnson broke up three passes and senior James Dinaso finished with three tackles.

"It was excellent to see the entire senior class contribute heavily in a win at home for their last action on the gridiron," said head coach Damon Tomeo. "They are a great group of guys and I couldn't be happier for them to go out like this."
