APPLETON, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire women's tennis team traveled to Lawrence on Sunday to compete in a conference match.
Knox fell 2-7 to the Vikings, who are tied for second in the MWC.
Bhumika Gupta defeated her opponent from Lawrence 6-1, 6-2 at #1 singles.
"We have improved a lot. I can see our improvement from the first match until now," said Gupta. "Himani and I are good partners; we will keep working hard and I am confident that we will win more matches this season."
Gupta teamed up with Himani Patel at #1 doubles to claim victory at #1 doubles.
"I am proud and excited about how much I have improved my net game," added Patel. "I feel confident and capable at the net."
The Prairie Fire return to action when they travel to Dominican on September 21.
