Box Score RIVER FOREST, Illinois—The Prairie Fire women's tennis team defeated Dominican 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Bhumika Gupta defeated her singles opponent 6-1, 6-1. Himani Patel won her singles match 6-1, 6-1. The two teamed up to win doubles 8-2.
 
Kathryn Allee and Grace Kostopoulos won 8-2 at #2 doubles. Allee defeated her singles counterpart 4-6, 6-4, 11-9.
 
Laurel Stugart and Jamahra Richardson defeated the Stars 8-7 at #3 doubles. Stugart took her singles match 7-5, 6-4.
 
"It felt great to win the second match of the season," said Richardson. "Especially with my partner Laurel having my back the entire time."
 
Miranda Zuckerman won 6-1, 7-5 at #6 singles.

Knox returns home to host Monmouth on October 2.
