JACKSONVILLE, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team fell 95-69 at Illinois College on Tuesday evening.

Knox held an early 8-6 lead in the first half, but the Blueboys used an 11-2 run to take a 17-8 lead. Illinois College gained a double digit lead midway through the first half, but the Prairie Fire momentarily brought the deficit back to eight points with 9:51 to play. The Blueboys used a 13-2 run to build up a 19 point lead over the next four minutes. Illinois College took a 52-32 lead into halftime.

The Blueboys expanded their lead to 29 early in the second half, but Knox crept back to with 19 with 12:30 on the clock. Illinois College quickly responded to reclaim their 29 point lead just three minutes later. The rest of the half saw the Prairie Fire make up a bit of ground, but it was too little too late.

Ethan Meeker continued his hot stretch with another 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including 5-of-9 from long-range. He also grabbed six boards and dished out four assists. Zach Lowe added 14 points and seven rebounds.

"Tonight was not our night," said head coach Ben Davis. "We got down early and IC did a good job of not letting us sustain our runs."

Knox will conclude their season as they travel to Ripon on February 22.
