Neither team had many chances in the early going in the second half, but after a weather delay the Prairie Fire came out firing. Martin Garcia found Lucas Piqueras for a goal at the 60:29 mark. Garcia then found Alex White on a quick flick from a goal kick in the 69th minute to put Knox up 4-0. The Prairie Fire spent most of the remainder of the game trying to keep possession.
"We came out of the weather delay with great energy and focus," said head coach Brian O'Connor. "However at times we lost focus and we will need to work on that heading into the Monmouth game. Still a great conference win."
Knox travels to Monmouth on October 5 to continue league play.
