GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team tied 0-0 with Beloit in the Midwest Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Buccaneers advance to the NCAA Tournament after a shootout.

Knox outshot Beloit 25-3 on the day and 13-2 in shots on goal, but the Buccaneers goalkeepers were up to the challenge with a combined 13 saves.

Beloit hit their first three shots in the shootout, while the Prairie Fire missed their three attempts.

Knox turned in another amazing season, finishing a perfect 8-0 in regular-season conference and winning their first game of the tournament. Knox is the first team in league history to have five consecutive regular season MWC Championships. The team has only lost two regular-season conference games over the past five seasons and has won the MWC Tournament three times over that span.

The Prairie Fire conclude their season with an 11-6-2 overall record.
