LAKE FOREST, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 game at Lake Forest on Saturday.

The teams played to a scoreless tie through the first half, but the Foresters broke through with a goal in the 55th minute.

Lake Forest outshot the Prairie Fire 12-7 overall, including a 3-2 edge in shots on goal.

"Lake Forest is tough this year, but we played them pretty close," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "Even though they scored the only goal in the second half, we actually had more shots in the half. We really turned it on in the second half, but came up short."

Knox returns to action as they host Illinois College on October 25 in the final game of the regular season.
