GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team came away with a 2-0 victory over Lawrence for Senior Day on Saturday.
Felipe Zobaran gave Knox an early lead when he found the back of the net in the fifth minute of the game. The Prairie Fire held on for a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Owen Clark tacked on an insurance goal in the 75th minute to give Knox the victory.
The Prairie Fire outshot the Vikings 23-10 overall, including an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal.
"This was a big conference win for us," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "The guys all wanted some revenge after we lost to Lawrence last season and we came with energy the whole game."
Knox returns to action on October 15 as they travel to Ripon.
