RIVER FOREST, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's basketball team fell to Concordia Chicago 97-65 on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first half and led 54-28 by halftime. Concordia cruised to victory, outscoring Knox by four in the second half.
Sean Gallery led the Prairie Fire with 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting. He also knocked down 5-of-7 free throws. Jordan Rayner added 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Carl Dortch grabbed six rebounds and scored five points.
"We never really found our rhythm in this one," said head coach Ben Davis. "They went on that run to start the game and we never really got any extended runs going to get back in the game."
Knox returns to action on November 16 as they host Blackburn in their home opener.
