JACKSONVILLE, Illinois - The Prairie Fire football team dropped a Midwest Conference game at Illinois College on Saturday.
The Blueboys scored two touchdowns in the final 4 minutes of the first quarter to take a 14-0.
Illinois College added three more scores in the second quarter to build up a 34-0 lead at halftime.
Izayiah Hawes scored for Knox late in the third quarter when he punched it in from four yards out.
Hawes led the Prairie Fire with 85 yards rushing on 21 carries. Kaile Williams added 71 yards on 13 carries.
Colin Finnigsmier racked up eight total tackles to lead the Knox defense. Jon Sarich picked up three tackles, including his fifth sack of the season. Manny Acker picked off a pass as well.
Knox returns to action on October 21 as they travel to Grinnell.
