GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team fell to Ripon 1-0 on Saturday for Homecoming.
Knox controlled the ball for most of the game and fired off 17 shots in the game, while the Redhawks tallied just six shots. The Prairie Fire also held an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.
Alex Halleck and Aleene Ramirez led Knox with three shots apiece on goal.
"We played our hearts out today," said head coach Annie Gerdes. "We had the advantage for most of the game and just got unlucky today. That's soccer sometimes, but it would have been nice to get the win today on Homecoming."
The Prairie Fire concluded their 2023 season with their last game of the year today.
