RIPON, Wisconsin - The Prairie Fire men's basketball team dropped their season finale 65-53 at Ripon on Saturday afternoon.
Knox jumped out to a 19-7 lead early in the first half, but the Redhawks stormed back to take a 33-29 lead at halftime.
Isaiah Lockett hit a jumper to begin the second half and Knox was able to take a 45-43 lead a few minutes later when Cade Windham made a three-pointer. Ripon began pulling away soon after and took a double-digit lead in the last two minutes of the game to claim victory.
Jordan Rayner, Matt Garife, and Sean Gallery tallied 11 points apiece to lead the Prairie Fire. Russell Wright scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.
"We played well again today," said head coach Ben Davis. "We had an early lead and really made Ripon work to get back in the game. We fought in the second half and really only fell behind in the last few minutes when they got hot."
Knox finished the second half of the season on a strong note with some key wins and some very close games.
