MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The Prairie Fire men's basketball team dropped a 73-50 conference game at Cornell on Saturday.
The Rams jumped out to a 12-3 lead early in the first half and led 35-22 at halftime.
Cornell expanded their lead in the second half and soon led by 25 points. The Rams cruised to victory from there.
Sean Gallery and Isaiah Lockett led Knox with 14 points apiece. Jordan Rayner added 12 points.
"We've had a string of good games, but faced a setback today," said head coach Ben Davis. "Cornell is a good team and we just never found our stride in this game."
The Prairie Fire return to action at they travel to Monmouth on February 8.
