Knox scored a run in the bottom of the eighth when Cole Shepherd doubled home Etienne Thomas.
The Lions added a run in the top of the ninth. The Prairie Fire scratched across one run in the bottom half when Thomas doubled home Jason Clark.
Brady Bertrand was the tough luck loser, tossing six innings with two earned runs. He allowed six hits and struck out four.
"We came out a little flat in this one offensively and we made a few mistakes in the fifth," said associate head coach James Clark. "We definitely had our chances."
