BLOOMINGTON, Illinois - The Prairie Fire baseball team dropped a non-conference game at Illinois Wesleyan 19-4 on Wednesday night.
Knox struck first with a pair of runs in the top of the first on back-to-back RBI singles from Etienne Thomas and Braden Ogden. The Titans responded with three runs in the bottom half to take the lead. Illinois Wesleyan would then add on 16 more before the Prairie Fire scored two more in the sixth inning with an RBI single from Andrew Garrett. The Titans cruised to a seven inning victory.
"We have come out swinging the last two days," said associate head coach James Clark. "Unfortunately our bats go dead in the middle innings and we give up too many big innings. We will get back to work for our conference games this weekend."
Knox returns to action as they host Cornell for a doubleheader on April 15.
