Box Score 2 BELOIT, Wisconsin - The Prairie Fire baseball team dropped the final two games of the three game series to Beloit 10-0 and 13-0.
The Buccaneers scored a run in the second inning of game one and then broke out for five runs in the fifth to open the game up. Beloit then added a run in the sixth, a run in the seventh, and two in the eighth to finish the game early.
Beloit scored three in the first inning of game one and then added nine in the second inning to cruise to a 13-0 victory.
Troy Brandt led Knox with two hits on the day.
"Our offense has been pretty lethargic since we got back from Florida," said associate head coach James Clark. "We are struggling to put balls in play with authority and it is hard to win games when you go a whole series without scoring. Beloit is a very good team, especially on the hitting side. We gave them way too many opportunities and didn't capitalize when we did have chances on offense. We will have to play better moving forward to win games."
Knox returns to action as they travel to Chicago for a doubleheader on April 5.
