GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire mens soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Wartburg College 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Knights scored in the sixth minute of the game to take an early lead.
Wartburg outshot the Prairie Fire 11-7 overall.
Sasha Esper and Tomas Ramos tallied two shots each for the day.
"We knew Wartburg would be a tough game for us today," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "We came up short today, and while I felt we were keeping up well with Wartburg ultimately we were just unable to recover after their early goal."
Knox returns to play on September 16th for a home match against Simpson College.
